We are in Day 3 and GOD IS WITH YOU. Seriously, whether the fast has been easy or hard or even if you have fallen off the wagon a couple times. GOD IS WITH YOU and that is a powerful reality.

What does it mean for God to be with you and how might that affect the way that you go about your day?

Matt 28:16-20

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Even as Jesus was ascending into heaven, He encouraged His followers, “I am with you always.” In other words, he is saying “I am in your midst.” God is with us as we work, cook, clean, hang with friends and family, work out, or anything else we do. But do we live like it?

Knowing that the God who made me and loves me, who is personally invested in me, is with me should give me a boost of confidence in all that I do. If he is with me, what challenge am I facing that can’t be overcome? But He is not just the God who brings us over challenges; He’s giving us favor as we honor Him with our lives. He is opening doors to share his love with others and offer prayer at important moments. God is in our midst. Fighting for us, bringing peace to us, and working through us.

Today, know that God is with you in every conversation and every moment.

• Help me to keep an awareness that God is with me.
• Help me to be aware of and courageous in moments to encouraging others, offering prayer, and inviting people to take a step towards Jesus.
• God, work behind the scenes in the lives of my family, co-workers, and friends to bring them to know you.
