We have come to the end of our fast and it can be easy to fall away from the growth that we have experienced over the last seven days. Let’s continue to keep these new habits connecting with God as we enter into the new year.

How can I create an action plan for my new habits?

Is there someone in my life that can keep me accountable?

READ // Ephesians 4:20

But that isn’t what you learned about Christ. 21 Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, 22 throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. 23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

Fasting not only allows us to get closer to God but reveals to us unhealthy attachments and habits we have. It can reveal the idols-things we worship more than God. When we are made aware of these areas -God gives us the desire to want more of him and less of the way of our old life. It’s time to start living renewed.

God help me to continue to be aware of my new life.

Help me find godly people to be my accountability.
